Stone’s The Monumental Masons is an independently run business manufacturing memorials of the highest quality in both materials and craftsmanship.
Located in the centre of the Jurassic Coast here in Weymouth, Dorset, SW England and also in Martock, in the heart of Somerset.
We built our web site to demonstrate to you our dedication and craftsmanship in producing beautiful memorials. We take great pride in maintaining the traditional skills of our craft, but where appropriate use more up to date techniques. We hope these pages will show the quality and attention to detail we put into all our memorials.
A stunning example of a Portland stone memorial. We worked very closely with our client to produce
exactly what they envisaged. Drawings were produced and approved before we commenced work.
Dark Grey Granite with a ‘half ogee’ shaped top. The design was accomplished by working closely with our client and achieved after numerous discussions and visits to the yard. A fine example of what we try to do at Stone’s. The personal touch, time and belief that every memorial is worth the extra effort we try to give all our clients.
A Portland Stone headstone commissioned to include the carving of the lorry. Our client was a haulier and wanted his profession incorporated into the design of the memorial. The carving was produced from a photograph of the actual vehicle used during his working days.
